We’re excited to welcome our summer interns to the JM Lapp team!

Please join us in welcoming Caleb, Emily, and Elijah. They’ve already had a productive first four weeks learning, contributing, and growing with us across accounting, finance, sales, customer success, and product development.

This sewer pump finally gave out—but the motor wasn’t the only problem.

When our team inspected the system at our Manheim branch, we found that the existing sewer pump had failed. We also discovered it was undersized for the application and had been working harder than it should have for years.

Rather than simply replacing the failed motor or installing the same pump again, we upgraded the system with a Goulds pump that was properly sized for the building’s needs.

Sometimes the best solution isn’t just fixing what’s broken. It’s understanding why it failed and making improvements that help prevent future problems.

That’s the value of looking beyond the immediate repair and helping customers make informed decisions for the long term.

A broken blower wheel can bring your heating or cooling system to a stop.

On this job, the blower wheel came off the hub and could no longer move air properly through the system. Our tech removed the damaged parts, changed it out with the right size blower wheel, replaced the motor, and got the system running again.

If your system is making strange noises, has weak airflow, or isn’t keeping up, it may be worth having it checked.

From leaking pipes to burst radiators, this is the kind of work that reminds us where JM Lapp started.

Before we were a growing plumbing, heating, cooling, and water treatment company, we were built on deep plumbing and hydronic expertise — the kind of experience it takes to understand older systems, diagnose the problem, and help customers think through the right repair or replacement options.

That expertise is still here today.

In this post, you’ll see Matt Lapp, our founder and CEO, whose hydronic experience helped shape the foundation of JM Lapp.

You’ll also see Kenny, a 52-year plumber from Haldeman; Shawn, a soon-to-be 50-year plumber who joined JM Lapp after retiring from running a plumbing business of his own; Jesse, one of our foremen; Dawson, a Lancaster CTC co-op student in training; and Chandler, a new plumbing helper in training.

That’s experience being passed from one generation to the next.
