How do we reduce or eliminate airborne noises or impact sounds through floor/ceiling apartment assemblies?

Gyp-Crete® installation is in progress at . This underlayment is ideal for interior wood subfloors, enhancing fire safety and sound attenuation.

To further increase the Sound Transmission Class (STC) and Impact Isolation Class (IIC), we install Acousti-Mat® prior to underlayment install. It's core of fused entangled mesh filaments, attached to a water resistant, non-woven fabric, creates a void area between the subfloor and underlayment that helps insulate both airborne and impact-based sound.
