We transformed this dated 80’s apartment into a high-functioning, contemporary, completely new apartment with a convertible den or second bedroom as well as interiors for a specific lifestyle of less is more.

Before & After of our latest NYC Design Build Gut Renovation including Full Service Interior Furnishings and move-in. What began as a dated NoMad Park 80’s apartment was completely reimagined through complex coordination between construction, permitting, and — removing walls, doors, bathrooms and kitchen to create a high-functioning, contemporary residence tailored to a “less is more” lifestyle.

This full residential renovation focused on creating a refined, intentional interior while maximizing minimalism throughout the home, including the conversion of the den with a 6 foot opening between the rooms with Tandem pocket doors. We could expand the space to an open floor plan, optimize the views of No Mad Park and create a Den when open, or a true second bedroom. The result? A seamless balance of modern living and timeless architectural character in the heart of New York City.

Behind the scenes of our latest Manhattan design build gut renovation.
This video captures the groundwork phase—where the foundation for the final design comes together. Working within a 1980s building with subpar original construction, we applied our full-service NYC design-build approach to properly plan and build in custom floating shelves, architectural brackets, pocket doors, wired window treatments, gutting kitchen with new cabinetry, floors and appliances and bathrooms along with moulding and details. Dropped ceilings and new lighting to set the framework for a completely transformed apartment.

In the den / guest bedroom, Hunter Douglas motorized solar shades automate the process of opening, closing, and adjusting throughout the day. Paired with Caesarstone window sill tops, the integration is both refined and highly functional.

At 5% opacity, the shades maintain a connection to the NYC skyline while providing privacy from the outside—balancing light, view, and discretion in a way that feels effortless.

It’s these layered details that define how a space truly lives.
