This week, SIMONA Boltaron was honored to welcome members of the Newcomerstown Chamber of Commerce to our facility.

Guests received an overview of our global organization, SIMONA AMERICA Group, along with insights into Boltaron’s operations, future growth, and ongoing investments—including our commitment to sustainability.

The visit concluded with a guided plant tour, offering a first-hand look at our manufacturing processes and workplace culture.

We’re proud to be part of such a strong and supportive community and appreciate the Chamber’s time and interest in learning more about what we do.

This week, members of the SIMONA Boltaron team led a session at Tuscarawas County’s Manufacturing Camp, hosted by Kent State University.

Sam Stacy, Hannah Mason, and Amy Welch introduced campers to who we are, where we’re located, and the diverse industries we serve.

Campers also learned about thermoplastics, our manufacturing processes, and how polymer chains behave during thermoforming. Through hands-on activities—like making “shrinky dinks” to observe polymer contraction and using dye sublimation to see ink v***r bond with plastics—they got a real-world look at the science behind the materials.

Last week, the SIMONA Boltaron team planted 20 trees at our Newcomerstown, Ohio facility, where employees and their families came together for this special event. Each species was carefully selected for its environmental benefits—including Tulip Poplar, Red Oak, American Cherry, and Redbud. Tulip Poplars alone can absorb up to 720 lbs of CO₂, making them a powerful ally in reducing our carbon footprint and reinforcing our commitment to sustainability.
