NOW HIRING – LEAD CREW MEMBER
Five Starr Construction LLC | Highway Construction

Five Starr Construction is looking for a Lead Crew Member to help lead field operations on our highway and roadway projects.

This is a working leadership position — you’ll be on the ground with the crew while helping coordinate daily operations with the Foreman.

We’re looking for someone who takes safety seriously, works hard, and knows how to keep a crew moving.

Responsibilities
• Assist the Foreman in directing daily highway construction work
• Work alongside the crew performing hands-on construction tasks
• Help coordinate labor, equipment, and materials
• Maintain strong safety standards (OSHA / VOSHA compliant)
• Monitor productivity and help keep projects on schedule
• Assist with layout, grading, and roadway preparation
• Support traffic control setup and safe work zones
• Mentor and help train newer crew members

Requirements
• 3–5 years experience in highway, road, or heavy civil construction
• Ability to lead a small crew and keep work moving
• Basic understanding of construction plans and specs
• Experience with traffic control and work zone safety
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus)

Preferred
• Equipment experience (skid steer, excavator, roller)
• OSHA-10 certification

Physical Requirements
• Work outdoors in all conditions
• Lift 50+ lbs
• Long hours during peak construction season

Now Hiring: Highway Construction Laborer

Five Starr Construction LLC is hiring for a Highway Construction Laborer to support daily field operations on highway and roadway projects. This is real, hands-on work that helps builds the roads people use every day.

The job includes general construction labor, assisting operators and crew members, loading and moving materials, preparing and cleaning job sites, setting and removing traffic control, and performing hand work such as shoveling, raking, grading, and compacting. You’ll assist with concrete, asphalt, drainage, and erosion control while following all safety procedures and OSHA regulations.

This role is for someone who likes being outdoors, working with their hands, and being part of a crew that gets things done. Prior construction experience is preferred but not required. What matters most is a strong work ethic, the ability to follow directions, and a willingness to work as part of a team.

Compensation:
Competitive wage based on experience.

All health, retirement, and paid leave benefits begin after one (1) full year of service unless otherwise noted.
