Starting May 4, 2026, Argenta Plaza will be under construction as we make way for the atg Pavilion!

Inspired by renowned architect E. Fay Jones’ iconic Thorncrown Chapel, the atg
Pavilion is a beautiful, innovative addition to the Argenta Plaza and North Little Rock.

Twenty-one stunning bronze sculptures of legendary Arkansas musicians will be placed at the Pavilion, making music history come alive—from the gospel power of Sister Rosetta Tharpe to the soulful voice of Al Green, the country charm of Glen Campbell, the rock ‘n’ roll grit of Levon Helm, and the jazz-blues brilliance of Louis Jordan.

The front porch and swings of Argenta Plaza will be open; however, the remainder will be closed.

Congratulations to Karyn Adams on your promotion.

Karyn Adams was recently named chief of the Engineering and Construction Division for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Little Rock District. Adams replaces DeJuan Carter, who retired from federal service in September 2025.

In her new role, Adams serves as the senior technical advisor to the district commander and leads the Engineering and Construction Division. She oversees the Design, Construction and Hydraulic Technical Services branches, ensuring projects are planned, designed and constructed safely and effectively in support of the district’s missions.

Adams has more than 25 years of experience with USACE. She began her career in the private sector before joining USACE in 2000 as a structural engineer, where she supported major projects across the region, including Montgomery Point Lock and Dam and Table Rock Lake.

Throughout her career, Adams has held leadership roles including project manager, program manager, branch chief and deputy chief of Engineering and Construction. She has managed complex programs supporting military installations, federal agencies and projects that directly impact communities across the region.

Adams holds a master’s degree in operations management and a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. She is a registered professional engineer in Arkansas.

The Little Rock District has a diverse mission that includes both military and civil works projects. Within its boundaries, the district operates 12 multipurpose lakes, 13 locks and dams, 308 miles of navigation on the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, 138 parks and seven hydroelectric plants.
