August calls for something crisp and elegant.

This month, we're spotlighting Chardonnay from Burgundy, France, one of the most versatile and cellar-worthy white wines in the world.

At its best, a well-stored Burgundian Chardonnay develops layers of citrus, green apple, toasted oak, and a subtle buttery richness that only comes with time. But getting there requires consistency, stable temperature, balanced humidity, and a storage environment that doesn't work against the wine while it ages.

Serve it between 50–55°F for the best expression of its character. Store it at 55°F and give it the time it deserves.
