Employees from our Sacramento office enjoyed an afternoon together last Wednesday at the Sacramento River Cats game. It was a great opportunity to connect outside of work, strengthen relationships, and celebrate the people who make our team successful every day.

The River Cats capped off the night with a 7 to 1 win over the Oklahoma City Comets, making it an even more memorable outing for everyone in attendance.

Our Bocce Ball Tournament at the Intern Equipment Rodeo brought out the best in both competition and teamwork.

With 10 teams competing throughout the day, the tournament was full of friendly competition, camaraderie, and plenty of close calls as teams battled for the top spot.

Congratulations to our winners Team Excavator - Matt Daley, Colin Daley, Kristian Seyler, and Uriel Flores!

Coming in at a close 2nd was Team Roller - Aaron Lewetzon, Luke Vanderkooij, Clayton Seatrand, and Carson Lehman!

Work is progressing at Oakland International Airport as our team prepares an existing 6 inch sewer mainline for CIPP (Cured-In-Place Pipe) rehabilitation.

Crews recently completed a point repair and worked through several key phases of the operation. The team safely removed shoring from the excavation before placing drain rock around the pipe to provide a stable protective foundation. Backfill operations followed with a compaction wheel attachment to ensure the trench is properly compacted and to help prevent future settlement beneath the airfield pavement.

This work prepares the existing pipeline for a specialty subcontractor to install a new structural liner inside the pipe without the need for full excavation, extending the life of the underground infrastructure while minimizing disruption to airport operations.

Every step below the surface helps keep critical infrastructure performing reliably above it.

In this role, you'll conduct jobsite inspections, lead safety meetings, investigate incidents, and partner with field management to help ensure every project is completed safely.

What we're looking for:
• High school diploma or GED
• OSHA 30 and 40 hour HAZWOPER certifications required
• Experience in construction safety and Microsoft Office
• Strong communication, organization, and problem solving skills
• Ability to lead safety meetings, perform jobsite inspections, and support field teams
• Valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record

Preferred qualifications include OSHA 500 certification, additional professional safety credentials, and bilingual Spanish skills.

Progress is taking shape at Estuary Park.

The vision is becoming reality as pathways are poured, the restroom building is complete, playground features are taking shape, and parking improvements continue across the site.

Once complete, the park will feature an inclusive playground, basketball and Bankshot courts, pickleball courts, dog parks, picnic areas, open lawn space, improved landscaping, new lighting, and upgraded amenities that will serve the community for years to come.
