One thing we value at Utah Lumber is being involved in the industry, not just working within it.

Our President, Tyrone Konecny, has spent years serving on the Western Pallet Association Executive Board and recently attended a strategic planning meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona with other industry leaders. The conversations, collaboration, and planning that happen in rooms like these help strengthen the future of the pallet and lumber industry for everyone involved.

Ty’s leadership and commitment to serving the industry is something we’re proud of, and it sets a strong example for our entire team. We believe contributing, building relationships, and staying engaged are all part of helping this industry continue to grow and evolve.

During a visit to Goshen Forest Products on PLIB grade inspection day, Tyrone Konecny, Vice Chair of PLIB, had the chance to connect with Josh Seibel, who recently took over his role following Calvin Wytcherley’s retirement.

It’s always great seeing young professionals stepping up and continuing the strong tradition of leadership and commitment within the lumber industry. Josh has a bright future ahead, and it was great spending time with him. 👏🌲

Relationships are the heart of everything we do at Utah Lumber.

Bryce and Tyrone spent time on the road last week making personal visits to customers because we believe nothing replaces face-to-face connection. Taking the time to sit down, check in, and strengthen relationships is a huge part of who we are as a company.

We appreciate the trust our customers place in us and are thankful for the friendships and partnerships that continue to grow year after year.

Business is important, but people always come first.

Big news at Utah Lumber!

We’re excited to officially welcome Don Davis and Sawtooth Lumber Products as part of the Utah Lumber team and partnership network.

Don has spent over 50 years building relationships and experience throughout the lumber industry. From managing yards and trucking operations in the 1970s to becoming a highly respected leader in sales, wholesale distribution, remanufacturing, and mill operations, Don’s career has touched nearly every side of the business.

After decades with companies including Oregon McKenzie Lumber, Timber Products, and Norton Forest Products, Don launched Sawtooth Lumber Products earlier this year. We’re proud to now be partnering together moving forward.

Beyond the industry, Don is a family man who enjoys spending time with his wife, children, grandson, and great-grandson. When he’s away from work, you’ll usually find him chasing salmon and steelhead or out fly fishing.

We’re honored to have Don and Sawtooth Lumber Products aligned with Utah Lumber. Welcome aboard!

Great experience in Monterrey for the SEC Mexico Trade Mission.

Sean Coughlin and Max Heller spent the week visiting plants, meeting with industry partners, and building relationships that really matter to our business.

There’s something different about seeing operations in person and having real conversations face to face. It gives you a whole new level of appreciation for the people and the work behind this industry.

Grateful for the connections made and the opportunity to be part of something like this. Looking forward to continuing those relationships moving forward.
