A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to Parker on completing the NCARB Architecture Registration Examination (ARE)!!! The ARE is a six multi-division exam and is a key step on the path to licensure. We applaud your accomplishment!

The path to becoming a Licensed Architect:
• Graduating with a Masters Degree in Architecture from a NAAB Accredited architectural program or equivalent.
• Gaining 3,740 of total documented hours of experience in six different areas in the Architectural Experience Program
• Passing all six divisions of the ARE.
• Individual states can have their own additional requirements. Nebraska has a law exam and requires character reference.

Fun fact ~ did you know it is unlawful to call yourself an Architect unless you have completed all these steps?

Once licensed, an individual must complete 18 hours of continuing education (CE) annually for national requirements and 24 hours of CE’s biannually for the State of Nebraska.
