The BJ Muirhead Co. team recently completed a Balance of Plant (BoP) upgrade at a hospital in Erie, PA —replacing two outdated Preferred Instruments panels (Plant Master and Feedwater) with a single, modern PLC/HMI-driven control panel.

The challenge?
Keep the boiler room fully operational throughout the upgrade.
No shutdowns. No service interruptions.

A big shoutout to technician Phil Strike and VP of Service Bob Beats, who worked alongside the hospital's facilities electrician and boiler room team to execute the transition seamlessly.

Another upgrade completed! ☑️

Our team recently installed an upgrade with a pet food manufacturer to modernize their deaerator system with a new Cleaver-Brooks ADAC control package featuring an HMI interface, PLC-based control, and integrated feedwater pump VFDs.

These improvements deliver:
♨️ Greater operational efficiency
♨️ More precise system control
♨️ Energy savings and improved reliability
♨️ Visibility of the deaerator level, feedwater header pressure, and various alarms at both the local HMI interface and the building management system
