PSA for all of our Northwest Floridians.

Most of you have Heat pump HVAC systems . This is because our normal winter temperatures are above 32 degrees . Below these temps your outdoor unit will develop ice and go into De Frost mode .
Temperatures below 20 . The heat pump system becomes very inefficient and in often times will stay in a prolonged defrost mode , allowing only the back up strips to heat the house .

THESE TEMPERATURES ARE NOT NORMAL . But luckily it will only last a few days . Bare with it . Space heaters can help! Or build a fire if you have a fire place!
