The Glenn Manley for Bay District School Board page is officially live — and we couldn't be more excited to introduce the man behind the campaign.
Glenn Manley has spent nearly five decades serving the students, families, and community of Bay County — as a teacher, coach, administrator, and mentor. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Glenn earned his BS in Physical Education and Social Studies from Middle Tennessee State University and his Master's in Curriculum Development and Educational Leadership from the University of West Florida.
His career in Bay County schools spans 38 years — from Jinks Middle School to Bay High School, where he taught Law Studies, World History, and PE, served as Assistant Head Football Coach, Head Golf Coach, and Athletic Director. His teams earned state runner-up honors in football (1993) and basketball (2004), and under his leadership as Athletic Director, Bay High received the 2023 FHSAA Sportsmanship Award. Glenn was named FHSAA Assistant Coach of the Year in 1996, Aflac National Assistant Coach of the Year in 2002, and was inducted into the Bay High Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.
Glenn and his wife Janet have called this community home for decades. They attend Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, where Glenn has taught children's Sunday School. Their son Joshua lives and works right here in Panama City.
Coach has always believed that the best leaders are the ones who never leave the field. Now he's ready to bring that same commitment to the boardroom. It's time to Vote Coach In.

🎙️ Today on The Local Sports Podcast, we had the privilege of sitting down with Pastor Matthew Thompson and Associate Pastor Tony Shackleford of Elevation Life Church.

What started as a conversation about a construction project quickly turned into a discussion about faith, vision, perseverance, and trusting God's plan.

We talked about the transformation of Elevation Life Church's campus and the unique opportunity TKVandy had to help expand the sanctuary while preserving the character and history of this longtime Temple of God facility. The project blended modern design elements with the church's historic roots, creating a space that honors the past while preparing for the future.

More importantly, we discussed the message that resonates with so many people today: "Give It to God."

Whether it's stress, addiction, fear, uncertainty, financial struggles, broken relationships, or simply the burdens we carry every day, there comes a point where we have to stop trying to control everything ourselves and place it in God's hands. Pastor Matthew and Pastor Tony shared powerful insights about faith, surrender, and finding peace through trusting Him.

It was an encouraging conversation about building more than a church building—it's about building people, families, and a stronger community.
