Project Spotlight: Chemical Plant Project

H+M was engaged to execute a full turnkey EPC project for a new chemical production facility, developing a new process area and a new tank farm to supply feed to an existing reactor unit.

The 12-month EPC package included detailed designs for civil, mechanical, structural, piping, layouts, wiring, and electrical, along with 3D modeling, fabrication, and procurement. Both units remained in production throughout construction, requiring careful coordination with plant operations.

Early evaluation of fire and explosion hazards and proper communication resulted in zero incidents.

Project Spotlight: Thermal Oxidizer Construction for Volatile Organic Compound Emission Reduction

A major terminal operator turned to H+M to install a thermal oxidizer system to control volatile organic compound emissions and meet a consent decree, requiring a retrofit of an existing tank farm, truck rack, warehouse, and rail spurs.

The 10-month project included installation of 300 cubic yards of concrete foundations, 45 tons of new fabricated structural steel, 3,000 linear feet of carbon steel pipe, and 400 linear feet of stainless steel pipe, along with the thermal oxidizer, bladder tanks, and associated equipment.

The client successfully met their compliance date through commissioning and factory acceptance testing of equipment, enabled by construction that met schedule and cost.
