New scope, different camera, went from a resolution of 3008 x 3008 to 6072 x 4042! This is a single 10 minute exposure of the neighborhood of M108. (The actual image is 75+ MB and wouldn’t upload)

Join us 🔴LIVE🔴 on Monday, April 6th, from 12:30 p.m. EDT / 16:30 UTC, as Orion Integrity and the NASA Artemis II astronauts break a historic record set by Apollo 13 almost exactly 56 years ago: as of today, no humans have traveled to a greater distance from Earth than the legendary Apollo 13 crew on its challenging mission. Artemis II will break that record today, as the Orion spacecraft flies around the Moon. 🌕

Here’s my view of M101, the Pinwheel Galaxy, a large, face-on spiral galaxy located about 21 million light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major aka The Big Dipper. It's roughly twice the size of the Milky Way and contains about a trillion stars.

130 10-minute exposures captured with Explore Scientific FCD100 127mm Triplet Refractor + 0.7x reducer, on a Sky-Watcher EQ6-R Pro, using a ZWO ASI533MC Pro camera, no filters, and processed in PixInsight.
