What a day. On October 14, we opened our new downtown Petoskey office inside the historic railroad station at Pennsylvania Plaza, and the best part was the people who showed up. Thank you to our team, who poured themselves into this space.

Thank you to Simply Sweet for setting an incredible table. Thank you to Petoskey (and Harbor Springs) Chamber for making it official with the ribbon cutting. And thank you to everyone from the community who stopped by for a tour, a toast and a conversation.

For more than a century, this station has served Petoskey. We are honored to bring new life to it.

Our downtown office at 101 Lewis Street, Unit 7, is open by appointment. Reach out anytime to schedule a visit. https://na2.hubs.ly/H08KkYJ0

Just south of Charlevoix, The North Point reimagines a Lake Michigan property around its most defining asset: the horizon. A complete teardown and rebuild, the home uses expansive windows, a calm modern-coastal palette, and a covered porch to keep the shoreline present across seasons.

Indoor and outdoor spaces are arranged for a simpler kind of connection—morning light, changing weather, and long views carried through the day. The result is a waterfront retreat shaped less by display than by its setting, with simplicity and natural light doing the work.

On Crooked Lake, Driftwood Cove is shaped around connection. Connection to the water, to the landscape, and to the rhythms of family life. Clean lines and intentional spaces frame the changing light, while large windows bring the outdoors into the home.

At the center, a great room is anchored by an authentic section of Mackinac Bridge steel grating, suspended as sculptural art. Above, a sprawling rooftop deck opens to panoramic views across the lake—equally suited to quiet mornings and long Northern Michigan evenings.

Broken Ridge is a Harbor Springs family retreat shaped around time together and the ease of welcoming friends. Generous gathering spaces open toward the outdoors, while a private bourbon room, golf simulator suite, and dedicated theater create more intimate ways to spend an evening.

Covered outdoor living extends the home through the seasons, with fireplaces for cooler nights and unobstructed views that keep the natural surroundings present.

Across the house, natural light, warm materials, and carefully considered transitions bring luxury and livability into a focused balance.

At Ridge & Rafter in East Jordan, the renovation was shaped around a new loft staircase over the kitchen, an intervention that called for special floor framing, custom railings, and a broader conversation between structure and finish.

Custom millwork, wood flooring, stone, and carefully coordinated updates give the home a distinct architectural character, while the tree-lined approach keeps its setting central to the experience.

It is a study in how thoughtful remodeling can clarify a home’s original presence without overwhelming it.

At Quarry Cove, the goal was not to reinvent the setting, it was to elevate the connection to that setting.

Along Bay Harbor Lake, we renewed the exterior with new siding and trim, opened the outdoor living areas with full-view glass railings, and reworked the kitchen around the way the family gathers. The result is a more purposeful relationship between house, harbor, and private beach.

Close to the yacht club. Open to the water. Built to serve the years ahead.

There are a lot of people who made our inaugural McBride Invitational possible, and today we simply want to say thank you.

To everyone who joined us for dinner and golf, every sponsor who invested, every volunteer who gave their time, our vendors, partners, and the incredible team behind the scenes… thank you.

Because of your generosity and willingness to show up, we were able to come together in support of Blackbird and the work they do to strengthen children, families, and our community. More on that in a future post ;)

Events like this are never about one company. They’re about what can happen when people with generous hearts come together around a shared purpose.

We’re grateful to everyone who made the day such a success and are already looking forward to what’s ahead.

Thank you for being part of it.

At McBride, we have a deep appreciation for craftsmanship, whether it’s building a custom home or competing at the highest level of your profession.

This week, we’re proud to support the Epson Tour at The Highlands and the talented athletes who have dedicated themselves to mastering their craft.

We’re grateful to be part of a community that continues to bring world-class experiences to Northern Michigan.

Good luck to all the players competing this week.
