STATE BOUND!
1193X (Dawson Goldsworthy, Liam McBride, Caleb Garringer, Noah Walter and Matthew Fisher have qualified for the 2026 Indiana State Championship at Lucas Oil! They WON the skills competition at the league event last week to gain an automatic berth to the State Championship in March.
Other results from the previous two events:
JCR high school teams competed at the Leo Robotics State Qualifier on 1/5 in Auburn.
1193X (6-0) qualified 3rd and partnered with a team from Hamilton Southeastern to make a deep tournament run, ending up semi-finalists in the 61 team event! They also finished 7th in skills and WON the Innovate Award at the event.
1193Y (Andrew Stouder, Max Klopfenstein, Brennan Chrisman, Madi Paxson, Dougie Cox, David Keen and Mouadh Nhaili) qualified 31st with a record of 3-3 and were eliminated in the Round of 16 by 1193X's alliance. They also placed 32nd in skills.
1193S (Corbin Bishop, Bryden Carter, Ethan Cook, Wyatt Bihn and Quintyn Smuts) qualified 39th with a record of 2-4 and did not make the tournament. They did place 23rd in skills for the event. They will be in action this upcoming weekend at the JROTC Nationals at Kalahari.
JCR League:
Over the past two months, we have hosted league nights for elementary, junior high and high school teams.
In junior high action:
1193B (Brady Armstrong, LJ Carter, Chloe Hamilton, Ariana Conley) qualified 7th and ended up getting SECOND place with a score of 70, losing to the eventual champions with a last second move to outscore them.
1193C (Marlee Busby, Gideon St. John, Chloe Ellingwood, Ryelin Hartnagel and Blaine Finch) qualified 13th and finished 5th in the finals rankings with a score of 31.
1193G (Lillyan Petro, Zoe Schoenlein, Analise Perez and Olivia Wilson) qualified 16th and made great improvements each week in league. They did not make the playoffs but have greatly improved for the upcoming event at Selma, on 2/21
In high school action, 1193X was ranked 1st with a record of 9-0, 1193S was ranked second with a record of 9-0 and 1193Y was ranked 15th with a record of 4-5.
1193X and 1193S were together in the elimination tournament and WON the tournament, beating a good alliance from Wapahani and South Adams.
1193Y lost in the Round of 16 in a close match, losing 32-14 to an alliance from Concordia.
In skills, 1193X scored 103 points, placing them currently, in the top 10 for the state AND qualifying them for the 2026 State Championship!
1193S placed 5th with a score of 41 and 1193Y placed 19th with a score of 15.
All teams will be in action heavily in the month of February. We will take the next couple weeks to prepare and be ready for a jam packed February!
