REACH OUT TO YOUR LEGISLATOR
Did you know?
Starting January 1, 2026, all new buildings in New York will be required to use 100% electric appliances—from heating systems and water heaters to stoves, dryers, fireplaces, pool heaters, and even space heaters.
And by 2029, virtually every new building will be banned from installing equipment that runs on anything other than electricity.
This shift comes as electricity costs in New York already rank among the highest in the nation:
· 32.6% higher than the national residential average
· 35.4% higher than the national commercial average
Guess who pays for it? You. Utilities are pushing through more rate hikes, and an all-electric mandate means higher costs, fewer choices, and less reliability—especially in a state with extreme weather.
New Yorkers deserve energy choice. Eliminating options only drives up costs and undermines reliability.
👉 The time to act is NOW. Tell the Governor, your Assembly Member, and your Senator that FREEDOM OF CHOICE is the ONLY choice for New York.
