Georgia Tech researcher Nicole Kennard is helping build a more connected and resilient food system for metro Atlanta. Through systems and social-network mapping, her team is identifying gaps between local farms, distributors, and neighborhoods—an important effort as one in eight metro Atlantans struggles with food access.

Drawing on community partnerships and innovative models from Europe, the project is developing interactive tools that could improve coordination, reduce waste, and make locally produced food more accessible. We’re proud to support Georgia Tech and the researchers using technology and collaboration to address real community needs.
