Old tires, coming back for more!

Our buddy Grant is getting back in the game and needed some shoes for his RallyCross Sentra.

The Sentra is a great platform for RX with multiple victories at Sports Car Club of America RX Nationals last month.

If youre a modified class competitor the Accelera Radial Tyres RA162 from Tire Streets is a get proven value option that has great performance and lifespan as well.

This week on "𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙒𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮", we ask Justin McBee our fourth question: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲?
𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻: “Day to day, I drive a 2006 Honda Civic — an automatic with zero modifications, since I'm not allowed to modify it (says my girlfriend). Beyond that, my other cars are all motorsport-related: a 2002 Subaru Forester which we've nicknamed the “Deforester” and use for stage rally and occasionally rallycross, and a 1964 Volvo 122S "Amazon," which we also run in rallycross.

This week on "𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙒𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮", we ask Phil Mickleborough our fourth question: "What do you drive?"

Phil: “These days I’ve thinned the collection down to what I actually use: two Volvo 240s and a Chevrolet Express van that handles camping and tow-rig duties. The car that probably represents me the best, though, is my 1987 Volvo 240 — the one I’ve been using for RallyCross and am now turning into an ARA Open Class 2WD rally car."

This week on "𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙒𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮", we ask Sean Spring our fourth question: "What do you drive?"

Sean: "Subarus—almost exclusively! My daily driver is a 2018 Subaru Outback. My RallyCross car is actually the very first Subaru I ever owned, a 1999 Subaru Legacy Wagon. And our current Stage Rally car is a 2002 Subaru Forester that Justin and I share, swapping between driver and co-driver duties depending on the event."

This week on "𝙒𝙝𝙤 𝙒𝙚 𝘼𝙧𝙚 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮", we ask Justin McBee our third question: "What certifications do you have?"

"Earlier in my automotive career, I held several certifications through the ASE (American Society of Engineers), including welding, air conditioning, and bodywork, among others. I keep the full list on hand to provide it when necessary. From my years in the Audio-Visual industry at Logicalis, I've also picked up more than 40 A/V engineering certifications."

Phil: “I hold a Master’s in Mathematics, which heavily influences how I approach vehicle dynamics, systems thinking, and problem-solving. My background is built on a mix of analytical thinking, high-level mentorship, and hands-on motorsport experience.”

Progress pictures of the fuel cell install. Paint and AN lines left to finish this project out. Being able to cut out sheet metal precisely and repeatedly with the CNC plasma has been an immense help on this project, taking out the small inaccuracies when copying over hole layouts between parts. What would be your first project if you had access to a CNC plasma table?
