Utility Supply & Construction Company was honored at the 2026 Samsara Beyond Conference with the Connected Operations Award for Safest Operator, U.S. and Canada.
This recognition reflects the hard work, discipline, and commitment of USC’s Safety Department, in collaboration with the Fleet Department, to build a proactive driving safety program focused on protecting employees, supporting our crews, and strengthening the communities we serve.
Through the use of Samsara AI Dash Cams, real time alerts, asset tracking, and consistent driver coaching, USC reduced insurance claim costs by 98%, reduced auto claim frequency by 74%, reduced average cost per auto claim by 69%, and cut detected safety events by 74%.
We were also proud to have Melissa Lattimore, Safety & Training Manager, represent the USC Safety Department on a panel at the conference, where she shared insight into the innovative processes helping move our safety program forward.
This award belongs to the safety professionals, fleet team members, drivers, field leaders, and employees who put safety into action every day. Their commitment and consistency made this recognition possible.
