It's always satisfying to see large, complex fans like this one roll out the door.

Getting a fan this size loaded and secured for transport takes real skill, and our shipping team handled every step with the care it deserves. They set it carefully, braced it for transport, and made sure it left the building ready for installation.

Thank you to our entire crew for the careful, skilled work that moves these custom fans through the entire process from drawings to delivery.

We are growing and hiring!

Our Welder Fabricators layout, fit, align, weld, and fabricate metal components and weldments to engineering specifications for high-quality, heavy-duty centrifugal fans in industrial applications. They work from engineering drawings and run both TIG and MIG equipment. The job covers a wide range of metals, from carbon and stainless steel to aluminum and nickel alloys like Inconel and Hastelloy.

What happens when an industrial fan wheel is pushed beyond its maximum design speed?

In this video from the AirPro test lab, we run a 27-inch backward inclined wheel through The Destroyer, our reinforced test chamber, and capture the moment of failure with a custom GoPro and lighting rig.

These wheels run at speeds that are hard to comprehend. Even our slow-motion shot from inside The Destroyer barely captures the moment of failure, but you'll see exactly what happens to a wheel that exceeds its design limits, along with the aftermath.

Every fan we ship is designed and built for a maximum safe speed determined by construction classes which represent a range of air performances that are capable with that fan. Those speed limits come from repetitive, analytical, and sometimes destructive testing in our R&D lab.

When a wheel operates within its rated class, it runs safely for years. When it gets pushed beyond that rating, the consequences can range from imbalance and bearing failure to complete wheel disintegration. The destruction you see in the video is part of our quality assurance process. We push wheels to failure in the lab so we can stand behind every speed rating we publish.

It goes without saying, but don't try this with your fan.

More new equipment in the shop. We recently installed a metal spinning machine that forms wheel shrouds and inlet cones for our fan wheels. This process was previously outsourced, and we're proud to bring it in-house right here in Rhinelander.

The machine was up and running within days of delivery, and our team was producing usable parts within weeks. It's exciting to watch our people learn new equipment and new skills, and it's another step forward for AirPro's manufacturing capabilities.

Big things happening in the shop. We recently installed a new Mitsubishi fiber laser, and thanks to our enthusiastic, quick-learning team, it's already up and running.

Our operators went through a combination of offsite and onsite training during the commissioning process, and the excitement around the new machine has been great to see. It improves production and makes their jobs easier, and it's already outperforming our previous equipment.

When you're 100% employee owned, investments like this are personal. Better equipment and better training mean better work for our customers and a stronger future for the people who build the product every day. Check out the video of the installation and some of the first parts coming out fast.

April is National Welding Month, and this year marks the 30th anniversary of the observance.

The American Welding Society projects that 330,000 new welding professionals will be needed by 2028. More than 159,000 current welders are approaching retirement. The Great Lakes region, where AirPro is based, accounts for more than a quarter of the national demand.

We're doing something about it.

This year, we've hosted several groups of high school students at our facility in Rhinelander, Wisconsin for hands-on welding experiences. Through partnerships with local high schools, our team brought our young community members out of the classroom and into our shop, where they worked alongside our welding team. Each group constructed a fan wheel that they got to take back to school for display and inspiration.

These visits show students what a career in manufacturing actually looks like. The skill, the technology, the variety of work, and the people who make it happen. Each visit created a buzz on the shop floor. These students were collaborative, enthusiastic, curious and hard-working; exactly the kind of employees we'd love to work with in the future.

You'll manage daily shipments, coordinate with freight vendors, inspect incoming materials, and work hands-on with forklifts, cranes, and our ERP system.
