This Labor Day, we're recognizing the people who do the work — the machinists, programmers, and inspectors who hold the standard on our floor every day. Machines hold tolerances. People hold standards.

The parts they build end up in the defense, aerospace, space, and energy systems this country depends on. That's skilled American labor, and it matters.

Titanium and Inconel don't forgive a bad setup.

The alloys behind flight hardware, engine sections, and energy components are chosen because they perform where ordinary metals fail. That same toughness makes them unforgiving to machine: heat management, tool strategy, and workholding all have to be right before the first chip.

This is the work we're built for. Exotic materials, specialty tooling, and complex geometries, held to controlled tolerances and documented at every step.

When the material is hard, the process has to be harder.

Once a month, Strohwig retirees get together for breakfast at Jimmy's in Jackson. This month, founders Wolfgang Strohwig and Larry Glass joined them.

Afterward, anyone who wanted one got a tour of the shop they helped build. Decades of machining knowledge in one room, and the standard they set is still the one we hold every day.

Last week, we said tearful goodbyes to a great team member. Forty years is an incredible milestone, and we were blessed to have you spend those years with us. Thank you, Tom, for your commitment, your infectious laugh, and the great talent you brought to the team. From everyone at Strohwig, we wish you a well-deserved happy retirement. Enjoy the lake!

Earlier this month, we fired up the grill and enjoyed some time together as a team. Our amazing employees spend a lot of time working hard, so it's nice to occasionally step away, share a meal, and catch up with coworkers.

What a great day on the course!

This past Saturday, Team Strohwig gathered for a company golf outing at Kettle Hills Golf Course. It was a day filled with great weather, friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and an opportunity to spend time together outside of work.

Events like these help strengthen the relationships that make Strohwig a great place to work. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day a success!
