It’s September 1st… and Ohio said, “Let’s keep it around 80° for a little longer.” 😂☀️

But as we all know, that cold weather isn’t far behind! Now is a great time to start getting your home ready for those chilly days ahead.

🚂 A Piece of Rittman History Has a New Home! 🏡

Today was a BIG day for the Rittman community! The old Rittman Train Depot was officially relocated, marking another exciting step forward in this incredible community project.

It’s so exciting to watch a piece of our community’s history be preserved and brought back to life. We can’t wait to see everything come together and see the depot become part of Rittman’s future while honoring its past. ❤️

"I have always wanted to go to Balloons over Wadsworth! Winning a Schar car load ticket provided me the opportunity to go! Thank you so much, as this was a wonderful event. My friend and I had a great time visiting all the booths, having some food truck goodies, watching the balloon glow, and just enjoying the evening visiting and sitting in our chairs watching the beautiful sky, especially all the cloud formations, and on our way out of the parking lot there were fireworks from one of the local homes. We also had lots of amazing fireworks from the lightning storms on our way home to Wooster. We tried to travel between storms, but got caught in a heavy downpour, but it stopped by the time we got home.

As Karma would have it, not only did I win the Schar Ballooning ticket but the Friday before I was sitting on my back porch when I heard a hot air balloon and went racing off to find it. Local Hot Air Balloonist Dennis H had just landed down the hill from where I live and I got to help expel the air out of the balloon, along with his family. This brought back fond memories when I crewed one summer (@1975) for my Defiance College Geology Professor and Hot Air Balloon meister Jim Birk, who many years later was inducted in the US Ballooning Hall of Fame. Then that Sunday my niece had returned from Paris gifting me a Parisian bag that had hot air balloons on it and then Monday I got the call from Schar that I had won. Wow! Hot Air Balloon Karma!

Balloons Over Wadsworth is such a nice community event. It was very generous of Schar to hand out water containers as it was hot and humid and much appreciated. The next day I was watching the BritBox TV detective show "McDonald and Dobbs" and the story line was about a hot air balloon murder! Another Hot Air Balloon Karma!

Oh, and a great big thank you to your Schar Team who does a great job everytime they come to work on my Geothermal unit! Schar is very fortunate to have such dedicated, knowledgeable, passionate, and kind people working for them!
