What does the temperature code (T-code) on a motor’s nameplate actually tell you? 🌡️ In hazardous locations, the motor’s maximum surface temperature must remain below the autoignition temperature of the gas, v***r, or combustible material present.

For example, a T3B-rated motor has a lower permitted maximum surface temperature than a T3A-rated motor. This means it can satisfy a T3A temperature requirement – provided all other Class, Division, Group, and application requirements are also met!

A “motor man” in the making. 👏 Patrick Remar spent some time with his grandson installing motors and slide bases in the WorldWide Electric demo van, including our new IEEE 841 motor and slide base.

They also rearranged the setup to make room for the new additions – a great day spent getting the van ready and showing the next generation the ropes!

A look inside the Motor Mod Shop! This 60 HP Louis Allis Severe Duty motor is getting a few modifications to meet the application requirements. The team is converting it to a C-Face configuration and moving the junction box from the F1 position to F2, with an additional 90° rotation.

It’s a great example of the kind of hands-on work our team can handle to get a motor configured for the job!

What will we do for our customers? Apparently, even wear the rival team’s hard hat. 😂 Frank Rizzo, a loyal Raiders fan, went on a joint call with one of our distributors at an ethanol plant. Together, they helped equip the facility with WorldWide Electric Explosion Proof Motors built for the demanding environment.

The Steelers hard hat may not have been Frank’s first choice, but getting the customer what they needed was! 🏈
