Each summer, MEC welcomes engineering interns from across the U.S. to our vibrant facility on Florida’s Space Coast. Our Lunch & Learn sessions are the cornerstone of this transformative experience, inspiring young engineers to become future innovators.
In our DaVinci Room, adorned with quotes like Sir Isaac Newton’s “No great discovery was ever made without a bold guess,” interns tackle summer projects that demand creative problem-solving and fearless hypotheses.
This year, Eric Jaehne, Matthew Winders, and Christian Scheckel embraced this challenge, pushing boundaries with their innovative work. Guided by dedicated senior engineers, they received top-tier mentorship, enjoying the freedom to innovate and present their findings.
Interns and senior engineers savor delicious lunches from local vendors during these sessions, fueling collaboration. Many also shine in our MEC soccer league, building camaraderie.
