1776 K Street just got the makeover it's always deserved.

Formally 198,000-SF of office space, Tempo by Hilton-Washington D.C. Downtown is now a sleek, 280-room hotel built specifically for our nation's capital. Filled with amenities such as 5,000-SF of meeting space, a new lobby, a massive new fitness room, and a publicly accessible cafe with a fully functioning kitchen, this location is primed for anyone looking to experience all downtown DC has to offer.

Converting out-of-date office buildings is a lot more than just moving walls and adding furniture, though. Our Hospitality + Retail team has been working hard to bring to life sub-level garage repairs, and overall site improvements to make this hotel as grand as possible. Together with WDG, we're happy to support the growth of DC's tourism, one room at a time.

Back-to-school season feels a lot better in a brand new space🍎

DC Department of General Services, Perkins Eastman, and the JO Cardinals put on a show to celebrate the grand opening of the updated and modernized J.O. Wilson Elementary School. Attended by local leaders such as Mayor Bowser and Ward 6 Council Member Charles Allen, this event was more than just another completed project; it's a celebration of the hard-working students, teachers, and staff at J.O. Wilson finally getting the facilities they deserve.

The 100,000-SF of renovated space now includes:
- Four new arts classrooms, including music and visual mediums
- Brand new turf and running track
- Two new playgrounds
- Indoor and outdoor basketball courts
- Many other improvements and additions throughout the campus!

Our growth in the Philadelphia region wouldn't be possible without the major contributions from Hank Aistis.

Congratulations to Hank for reaching five years of service with DAVIS! From starting as an assistant in DC to growing into a lead Superintendent on multiple projects in the Philly area, Hank's career development has mirrored our organizational development over the last half-decade. His leadership on various jobsites is crucial to not only each individual project, but DAVIS' reputation with trade partners and clients across the region and beyond. We couldn't be more thankful for his impact!

When building a satellite campus for the Trojans, there's no room to horse around.
University of Southern California has a large community of students, alumni, and leaders, so their DC campus should match that standard. USC Capital Campus serves as a hub for learning, research, and collaboration. The DAVIS team and our project partners put together the building they needed at 1771 N St NW that includes large conference rooms, workspaces, faculty offices and more. With this kind of environment at their disposal and in close proximity to government leaders, students and staff can maximize their abilities through USC's prestigious program.

American University is bettering their sports programs and the environment, all in a single package.

ENR MidAtlantic released their Sustainability awards during their Best Projects program, and American University's Meltzer Center for Athletic Performance secured one of just three total awards given out across the region. The first Net Zero facility on AU's campus, the affectionately named "CAP" is leading the way into the next generation of collegiate sporting facilities. Earning U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) LEED Platinum required critical coordination between AU, Perkins Eastman, and our project team, and now their hard work is paying off. Congratulations to all involved parties on this momentous achievement.

Navigating an active project site can be incredibly difficult; Nick makes it look easy.

Please take a moment to congratulate Nick on his 5th year with DAVIS! Starting as an intern and working his way to a crucial Superintendent role on major DC Residential projects such as Claret and The Blake, he now spends his time with our Philadelphia team building the next generation of Philly construction. Nick's contributions have directly led to the success we see today as an organization, and we can't thank him enough for his dedication.

"Throughout my five years at DAVIS, I have had the privilege of working alongside many individuals who have played a meaningful role in my professional development. In particular, Tyler Brown has been a mentor since my first day, consistently challenging me to reach my full potential; without his early guidance and support, I would not have been prepared to assume the level of responsibility I have today. Chuck Summers, as he often says, “learned me up,” intentionally developing my skills and confidence as a field leader. An award-winning project adds more hardware to its collection🏆

Congratulations to the JW Marriott Reston Station team for being awarded Engineering News-Record MidAtlantic's Regional Best Project in the Residential/Hospitality category! Centered in the heart of Comstock Companies's Row at Reston Station, the building's elegant facade welcomes both residents and travelers. The next generation is taking over the DAVIS HQ!

We brought the whole 2026 intern class to Rockville to showcase everything they learned this summer. From on-site experience to supporting our resource groups, each intern got a chance to present their experience to DAVIS leadership and colleagues, and make new connections with people they may not have gotten a chance to see previously. When new ideas are shared, everyone grows together, and the DAVIS interns bring new ideas every year!
