Remember when we were saying, “Rain, rain, go away” so we could get started on the Stewart New Build?

Well… Mother Nature definitely listened! Almost two months without much-needed rain has at least allowed the framing to make some incredible progress.

Next up: setting the trusses and completing the exterior framing. It won’t be long before we really get to see the full shape of this beautiful home come together!

The talent and creativity of our tile installer, Alan Dietrich, is pretty amazing. From the marble work in this primary shower to the custom floor design now taking shape.

The “No Wake Zone” lettering didn’t come pre-made — it’s being created from scratch, one tiny tile at a time.

It’s always fun to watch an idea come together!

Having my office next to our house does come with minor set backs. Stepped away from my desk and came back to these added mark ups from my grandson. 😂 No way will I scold him, he watches me work and wants to be like me. I’m going to thank him for the help and make a copy for him to mark up.

We haven’t installed a decorative oval window like this in a long time, and isn’t she pretty?

There’s something about the shape and all the beautiful woodwork surrounding it that makes it feel almost like a mirror.

Mirror, mirror on the wall… who’s the fairest of them all? ✨

Sometimes it’s the unexpected details that give a home its personality!
