Lanzen, Inc. is proud to partner with the Academies at Romeo High School, helping students gain real-world experience and career opportunities through hands-on learning. Isaac chose the Academy of Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing (DEM) pathway, which helped prepare him for both college and a career in advanced manufacturing. Isaac, a graduate of Romeo High School’s Class of 2026, has been employed with Lanzen Inc. since June 2024 and will be attending Michigan Technological University this fall. Through the Academies program and his employment at Lanzen, Isaac gained valuable experience working as a General Labor employee, in the Inspection Department, and in the Robotic Department. After graduation, he will continue working in our Engineering Department, further developing the skills and knowledge that will support his studies at MTU this fall. Isaac’s journey is a great example of how the Academies at Romeo High School connect classroom learning with hands-on industry experience, helping students build successful futures in engineering and advanced manufacturing.

Lanzen, Inc. was proud to attend the Communities In Schools of Northwest Michigan Career & Job Fair at Mancelona High School on May 6, 2026! This year’s event brought together students, parents, educators, and local businesses to explore career opportunities and future pathways together. It was a successful event filled with great conversations, valuable connections, and an opportunity to share information about careers in manufacturing and engineering. Thank you to Communities In Schools of Northwest Michigan and Mancelona High School for hosting such a well-organized event and for supporting students as they prepare for their future careers. These students achieved a grade point average of 4.0 or higher, representing the highest standard of scholarship, dedication and integrity. The seniors were recognized on May 13 at a dinner in the RHS Commons featuring cuisine by the culinary arts program and a performance by the Romeo Jazz Band.

🔍 Position: Receiving Inspection Specialist
The Receiving Inspection Specialist is responsible for inspecting incoming supplier materials and components to ensure compliance with purchase orders, engineering drawings, quality standards, and customer requirements. This role supports production and quality operations through dimensional inspections, ERP transactions, certification verification, and supplier non-conformance reporting.
✅ Key Responsibilities:
• Inspect incoming parts and materials for accuracy and completeness
• Perform dimensional inspections to an AQL of 2.5 using precision measuring equipment
• Verify compliance to blueprints, specifications, and customer requirements
• Process purchase order receipts and inspection records in ERP/GSS systems
• Review and maintain material certifications and quality documentation
• Create and process supplier Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
• Communicate shortages, damages, and quality discrepancies internally
• Maintain compliance with company quality standards and procedures
📋 Qualifications:
• Experience in receiving inspection, quality inspection, or manufacturing preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Knowledge of dimensional inspection tools and inspection methods
• ERP/MRP system experience required; GSS experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
⭐ Preferred Experience: Defense or precision manufacturing environments
• Familiarity with AQL inspection standards
• Understanding of material certifications and quality systems
• Experience with non-conformance processes and NCRs

🎓 Pathways to Success – Romeo High School Graduate Spotlight
Congratulations to Karoline Lenczewski on an impressive journey of academic and professional success!

Karoline is currently a part-time Research Assistant at Michigan Technological University, where she is gaining valuable experience in Optical Microscopy and X-ray Diffraction Analysis while contributing to cutting-edge automotive manufacturing research.

Karoline is part of an MTU Capstone Project sponsored by the Auto/Steel Partnership (A/SP), exploring the use of additive manufacturing for fabricating trim tools used to process advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) in automotive components and assemblies. As part of the project, Karoline and her fellow engineering students recently toured several industry-leading facilities, including Sun Steel Treating, MacLean Additive, Oakland University’s Research and Innovation Center, and Gestamp, gaining firsthand exposure to innovative manufacturing technologies and automotive production processes.

Her professional journey also included internships with Nucor Corporation and Brazeway. We are especially proud that Karoline’s path also included time with Lanzen, Inc. as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, where her dedication, enthusiasm, and passion for learning made a lasting impact on our team.

We are also excited to share that Karoline has accepted a position with Gerdau as part of the G-Future Program!

As Karoline continues this exciting journey, we know even greater accomplishments are ahead. Congratulations on all your success so far and we can’t wait to see what the future holds! 👏
