Let's talk about gravel driveways.
You see the pictures after a fresh load of gravel has been spread out and the potholes are gone and the washboard has been smoothed over. But ask yourself - is that it?
When potholes develop, it is due to damage in the subbase of the driveway that must be cut out and fixed: "filling a pothole" doesn't work because it doesn't solve the underling problem.
Washboarding, while inevitable in all driveways, will arrive almost as soon as you drive over the fresh gravel if it hasn't been compacted. Compaction is essential to prolong the life of your driving surface. It also slows down the damage done by vehicles turning sharply or around (like a delivery truck).
The Bratcher Company has the tools and experience to not just make your driveway look new again. We take the time to ensure it will last the season (or more!) with minimal maintenance.
