PCBC - The Art, Science & Business of Housing is pleased to announce the Call for Entries and Sponsorship Opportunities for the 63rd Annual Gold Nugget Awards—the oldest and most prestigious residential design awards program in the nation.

For more than six decades, the Gold Nugget Awards have honored the projects and teams that elevate our communities through exceptional design, planning, and development. Recognized as the industry benchmark for excellence, the program celebrates innovation, imagination, and lasting impact across residential and commercial environments throughout the United States and internationally.

Under the 2026 theme “The Art of Design,” the Gold Nugget Awards recognize work that exemplifies:

2024 HOME OF THE YEAR

When it came to selecting the home of the year,
The judges wished to select a home that’s not only architecturally beautiful, but one would set a future precedent for the evolution of production housing.

This home is the definition of indoor-outdoor living. Designed for entertaining with the incredible Sonoran Desert setting in mind, this single-level home showcases an expansive great room and gourmet kitchen with soaring 14’ceilings and dual 20’ multi-slide pocket doors that harmoniously blend the indoor and outdoor living spaces together. The prep kitchen is a showpiece of its own as it connects to an outdoor kitchen and entertaining space with 360-degree views of the McDowell Mountains. The primary bedroom suite serves as a private oasis with a luxurious spa-like bathroom and direct outdoor access to a secluded spa area. The sizeable secondary bedrooms each with a full bath and walk-in closet feature large windows to help capitalize on the panoramic mountain views. The detached multi-gen suite offers overnight guests a private retreat with a living area and wet bar that overlook the incredible resort-style backyard and mountain views beyond.
