Porch posts might seem solid, but sometimes rot creeps in where you least expect it. We were called out in Escondido to deal with posts that had seen better days—one was completely rotted through.

We carefully removed the damaged wraps, treated the wood, and replaced the sections with rough sawn cedar. For the partially rotted areas, we used bleach and primer before making repairs with Bondo. After cutting and installing the new post, skirt, and rail, we back-primed all the cuts to help prevent future issues.

Now this porch is back to looking sharp and ready for whatever comes next. If your porch or railing needs some attention, we’re here to help.
