Webb carried a perfect game into the sixth inning and a no-hitter into the seventh, ultimately delivering seven shutout innings in a 1-0 Giants win over the Milwaukee Brewers, his best start of the 2026 season by a wide margin. A Winning Habit

Vintage Webb.

Fun might be an understatement. Webb was making just his second start back from the IL after missing over three weeks with bursitis in his right knee, and he looked like a completely different pitcher from the one sporting a 4.82 ERA when the night began. The sinker was sharp. The command was elite. And the Brewers, one of the hottest teams in baseball, never had a chance.

"There's a lot of voices going on in my head and I was like, 'You have a no-hitter. You have a no-hitter,'" Webb said with a laugh. "I know there's like a jinx thing, but I'm going to blame Tony, because he did call down right before I gave up the hit."

The Giants are 24-38 and desperately need more nights like this. Logan Webb, two-time All-Star, Gold Glove winner, Cy Young candidate, just reminded everyone what he looks like when he's fully healthy and locked in.

The ace is back. Now let's see if the Giants can give him some run support to work with.

The Grandson of the Wind just put together one of the most absurd weekends any MLB player has had all season.

Jung Hoo Lee returned from a back strain against the Colorado Rockies and immediately delivered one of the most dominant three-game stretches in Giants history:

๐Ÿ”น11-for-15 (.733 AVG) over three games
๐Ÿ”น15 total bases
๐Ÿ”น4 runs scored
๐Ÿ”นA career-high 5 hits in Sunday's 19-6 win, becoming the first Korean-born player in MLB history to record a five-hit game
๐Ÿ”นBatting .517 over his last seven games

And the context makes it even more impressive.

Lee was coming off a back injury. Most players would be focused on shaking off rust. Instead, he collected four hits in his first game back, added two more the next day, and exploded for five hits in the series finale.

Going 11-for-15 after returning from injury is not a hot streak. It's a statement.

As one scout put it, Lee doesn't overwhelm opponents with power or speed. He simply refuses to give away at-bats. His elite contact skills and ability to avoid strikeouts make him one of the toughest outs in baseball.

The San Francisco Giants sit at 23-36 and are struggling to stay relevant in the NL West. But Lee is doing everything possible to carry this lineup forward one hit at a time.

The Grandson of the Wind didn't look like someone recovering from a back strain this weekend.

He looked like one of the hottest hitters on the planet.

This one is going to hurt for a while.
Jung Hoo Lee gave the Giants everything they needed tonight, 4 hits, locked in, carrying the offense on his back the way only he can right now. And San Francisco still found a way to lose.

Up 6-3 heading into the ninth inning. Three outs away from a win. And the bullpen proceeded to give up 5 runs to hand the Giants an 8-6 loss that nobody in the Bay Area saw coming.

This is the story of the 2026 Giants in one brutal inning:

๐Ÿ”นJung Hoo Lee, 4 hits, did everything right
๐Ÿ”นA 3-run lead heading into the 9th, should have been enough
๐Ÿ”น5 runs surrendered โ€” the bullpen collapsed when it mattered most
๐Ÿ”นFinal score: 8-6. A win turned into a loss in minutes

Lee is doing his part. The pitching staff has been doing its part. But the bullpen keeps finding new ways to give games away, and tonight it cost them a win that Jung Hoo Lee absolutely deserved.

At some point the Giants have to stop wasting nights like this.

While the San Francisco Giants offense has been one of the worst in baseball in 2026, Casey Schmitt clearly did not get the memo.

Schmitt has quietly been the most valuable hitter in San Franciscoโ€™s lineup through the first 55 games of the season, and right now, it is not particularly close.

Here is what he has done over his last 10 games:

๐Ÿ”น 6 home runs
๐Ÿ”น 157 wRC+ seventh best in the National League
๐Ÿ”น On pace for 36 home runs
๐Ÿ”น Batting .391 with 5 home runs and 11 RBI over his last 8 games
๐Ÿ”น Slashing .294/.348/.516 on the season

Two home runs against the Athletics. Another against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Meanwhile, the rest of the Giants lineup has struggled to generate offense consistently around him.

That is what makes this stretch even more impressive.

The Giants are still sitting near the bottom of the NL West and rank near the bottom of baseball offensively in multiple categories. But in the middle of all of it, Schmitt is putting together one of the hottest stretches by any hitter in the National League.
San Francisco waited all season for the bats to wake up.

Schmitt stopped waiting and did it himself.

The good news:

Casey Schmitt has hit safely in 8 of his last 9 games.

The bad news:

It was still not enough as the Giants fell to the Diamondbacks, 7-5, on Tuesday night.

The San Francisco Giants offense is finally waking up, and it is happening in historic fashion.

For weeks, Giants fans watched this lineup strand runners, waste bases-loaded opportunities, and leave runs on the table night after night.

That trend may finally be changing.

With three grand slams in the last eight days, two from Harrison Bader and one from Rafael Devers, San Francisco matched a franchise mark that had not been reached since 1924.

The last time the Giants hit three grand slams within an eight-day span was more than a century ago.

And this weekendโ€™s back-to-back slams added another chapter to franchise history:

๐Ÿ“… 4/18โ€“19/1941 Mel Ott, Harry Danning
๐Ÿ“… 7/24โ€“25/1998 Jeff Kent, J. T. Snow
๐Ÿ“… 6/11โ€“12/2003 Pedro Feliz, Rich Aurilia
๐Ÿ“… 8/27โ€“28/2015 Kelby Tomlinson, Marlon Byrd
๐Ÿ“… 6/13โ€“14/2025 Casey Schmitt x2
๐Ÿ“… 5/23โ€“24/2026 Harrison Bader, Rafael Devers

On Saturday, Bader launched one over the center-field wall against the Chicago White Sox.

On Sunday, Devers followed with a grand slam of his own to left field, helping power San Francisco to an 8-5 win. This is exactly the kind of production Giants fans expected from Devers when the organization made its massive investment in him.

San Francisco is still sitting at 20-30 and has a long climb ahead. But the runners are finally scoring.

The bases-loaded opportunities are finally being converted. And for the first time all season, this lineup looks like it may actually be turning a corner.

Rafael Devers is rounding into form for the San Francisco Giants after successfully adjusting his swing mechanics and approach, allowing him to regain his signature elite bat speed and boost his offensive production. ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ”ฅ
