This week, each of our jobsites took time to stop work and refresh themselves on safety precautions regarding rigging, concrete burns, and incident reporting. These hazards can result in serious injuries when proper planning, equipment, PPE, and work practices are not used. These were the key takeaways:
๐๏ธ Rigging - Inspect it, verify its capacity, use the correct equipment, stay out of the line of fire, and never walk or work under a suspended load.
๐ฅ Concrete Burns - Prevent skin contact, wear the proper PPE, wash exposed skin promptly, and report suspected concrete burns immediately.
๐ Incident Reporting - No matter how big or small, always immediately report any incident, injury, equipment damage, or property damage to a supervisor.
We continue to reinforce the necessity of safety on and off the job to protect all team members and passersby. We cannot consider a project successful unless operations are conducted safely and everything possible is done to get each person home safe at the end of the day.
Thank you, , for your dedication. Keep up the good (and safe) work!
