Colorado is reminding us that May can still bring winter conditions.
The Denver metro area is under a Winter Storm Warning tonight into Wednesday, with heavy, wet snow possible, especially north of the metro and into the mountains, followed by a sharp temperature drop. While accumulation may vary and melt quickly on warmer surfaces, shaded areas, north-facing walks, entry points, and parking lot trouble spots can still become slick.
For commercial property managers and residential homeowners, a few reminders:
✔️Watch for refreeze in shaded and north-facing areas
✔️Clear heavy snow from vulnerable branches when safe to do so
✔️Keep drainage paths open as snow melts
✔️Drain backflows if irrigation systems have already been turned on
✔️Cover newly planted flowers and sensitive plant material
✔️Check sidewalks, entrances, ramps, and high-traffic areas early Wednesday
