Adhesive Workholding Myth # 3

The adhesive will damage my part's surface.

Surface finish matters. A lot. We talk to manufacturers all the time who worry that Adhesive Workholding® will cause surface marring or leave behind unwanted residue.

The good news? BlueGrip™ Workholding Adhesive® is developed specifically for manufacturing applications and designed to hold tight, but release cleanly.

Once machining is complete, simply break the adhesive bond with a quick quarter-turn of the gripper. Any remaining adhesive can then be removed with steam or a hot water soak, leaving the part surface clean and ready for the next step.

This is especially important when machining medical components, where strict surface quality requirements leave little room for compromise.

That’s a wrap!

IMTS - International Manufacturing Technology Show was AMAZING, and we can’t thank everyone enough who stopped by our booth, hung out with us, asked questions, shared your projects, and helped make this show one to remember!

It was truly a pleasure meeting so many of you, and we’re excited to continue the conversations we started at the show. We’re looking forward to learning more about your projects and exploring how Blue Photon can help solve your workholding challenges.

Of course, a show like this doesn’t happen without an AMAZING crew behind the scenes. From months of planning and preparation to the final booth breakdown, our team absolutely knocked it out of the park. Sales, engineering, production, marketing, and so many others all pitched in to make IMTS 2026 our biggest and best yet.

We may be a little biased, but we think we have the best crew in the industry, and we are incredibly grateful for their expertise, creativity, hard work, and dedication.

We were WAY too busy to get pictures of everyone, but we wanted to share a few snapshots of the village it took to pull this whole thing off!

IMTS may be a wrap, but we’re just getting started. The conversations, ideas, and connections we made in Chicago are already fueling what comes next. We can’t wait to see where they lead—and, most importantly, how we can help you grip the future of workholding.
