Proud to announce I have completed the Artisans Revolution in Tile training program and will now be offering custom shaped artisan tile inlays as an option on my future projects!

I have had an interest in learning this art since I saw a piece an artist installed in a shower around 8 years ago… and then earlier this year I saw the opportunity to take a class led by the artist from Alaska who made that exact piece, along with many other talented teachers.

So if you have an artistic vision you’d like to insert into your tile installation… or maybe just some small personal touch that’s meaningful to you… Pokuna Tile can now help you make that a reality.

The first few artisan projects will receive discounted rates with the understanding that they will move slower and be professionally photographed for advertising after installation.
The design and creation phase all happen off site so the additional time needed working in your home is minimal.

First time using this size and shape tile. I knew going in that the prep work needed to be close to perfect. Took me around 2 days longer than a tub surround usually takes me… but when I take on a job I don’t settle for anything less than the best I can make it. Even if that cuts into my profits. I see it as paid training. The next time I’m handed this tile it will go smoother and faster.

Grout party tomorrow, and then on to the next!

Wrapped up these new bathrooms today.

Worked some magic and was able to create a curbless shower AND a flush transition to the hardwood floors, leaving behind no tripping hazards for the owner.
