Thank You So Incredibly Much

I am honored and humbled by the pyro community. So many of you reached out to express your condolences and support. Zander was a much-loved member of our fireworks family. He lived larger than life and made an impact on so many people.

I decided that I am still going to attend the PGI convention. I will be in the trade show. As you can imagine, with all the trauma of the past week, many tools I was going to bring won't be ready. I will have a nice selection of rocket tooling, but very few star plates and no presses. After the PGI, I'll be able to start shipping out the back orders of presses and crossette plates. As soon as I receive the 2lb tubes, those rocket sets will be on the way as well. I appreciate everyone's patience.

I have been in the process of developing products for industries outside of pyro. To that end, I'm going to streamline the product offerings in the fireworks tooling catalog. Emphasis will be placed on 1lb - 2lb -3lb rocket tools, tube supports, standard star plates and a few other items. 6lb tools are completely discontinued after the current inventory is sold out. I doubt I'll produce multi-comet pumps unless there is sufficient demand. Crossette plates will not be kept in inventory after the current production run is sold out.

Also, the time fuse cutting / punching / slitting machine will not be made again once the current inventory is sold out. I have about 20 of these time fuse tools left. They are currently discounted by $200.

My son was killed in a motorcycle accident Tuesday night. He was a fixture in the pyro community, attending PGI and WinterBlast conventions since he was able to walk. He participated in JPA and the Pit Crew and often fired and wired their displays. Many of you met him while he was helping me at the tradeshow. Full of life, compassion and enthusiasm an all around fantastic human who shouldn't have been taken. I'm in shock, grief stricken and broken. I really need the compassion, support and patience of the pyro community right now.

Tariffs - Tariffs - Tariffs....

It's official, the tariffs imposed last week have begun to impact the bulk aluminum market. Even though all aluminum for our tools is produced at facilities in the USA, since it's a global commodity, the tariffs have created enough market uncertainty that prices have already increased. Another price increase is expected in two weeks. With our current order of aluminum, increased prices will NOT be passed along to you, our very fine customers. However, if this situation isn't resolved by mid to late March, we will have no choice but to pass along these price increases with our next aluminum order. I would expect prices on everything to increase a minimum of 10% at that time.

FireSmith Manufacturing Production Updates
Happy December, everybody! Hope your Thanksgiving was filled with good times, good people and good memories. Now that the turkey hangover has subsided, I figure it's an excellent opportunity to update y'all with the happenings going on around the shop.

The 3/4" and 1" Crossette Star Plates are nearly ready to be sent out to hardening. The pin plates, hole plates and pins are all machined. The crossette tips are currently about halfway finished. I'm expecting these to be ready for shipping towards the end of December / beginning of January. If you'd like to get in on this production run, ordering links are below.

We just received a bunch of stuff back from hardening. I'm working on engraving, assembly and packaging at the moment. Pressure Conversion Tools, 2" Comet Pumps, several Star Plates and the ever popular 3lb Universal Core Burn rocket sets are once again available. If you'd like any of these items, ordering links are below.

I have just one 14.4 Ton X-Tra Tall Hydraulic Press available from the current production run. These will ship the first part of January. If you'd like it, you may order below.

6lb Rocket Tools....... this is always a head scratcher. I've got just a couple sets left and don't plan on making any more 6lb stuff for quite some time. I'm working on production of items for other industries outside of pyro, so the CNC machines are pretty well booked solid for quite a while. I "might" have 6lb tooling available at the PGI, but that is a 50/50 estimate at best. If you'd like either 6lb Universal Core Burn (only one set left) or 6lb Stinger (about 6 sets left), I'd suggest ordering them now while they are still available. Ordering links are below.
