🏆 CSTA-South Dakota is proud to announce our 2025–26 Computer Science Teacher of the Year: Rachel J. Pierson of Memorial Middle School in Sioux Falls!
Rachel teaches Computer Technology, Graphic Design, and Coding & Programming to approximately 700 students every year — helping middle schoolers become computational thinkers, digital citizens, and creative communicators.
A founding member of CSTA-SD, Google Certified Trainer, and a presenter at conferences across the country for nearly 20 years, Rachel embodies what exceptional computer science education looks like in South Dakota.
