Today on National Dam Safety Awareness Day, we recognize the critical role dams play in supporting water resources and generating clean, renewable energy.

The Missouri River dams have been powering public power communities for decades, providing reliable, cost-based hydropower through Western Area Power Administration (WAPA). Hydropower serves as a key energy resource for MRES members across the region. We're proud to advocate for and help protect this valuable public power resource for generations to come.
