Update*** Tree crews have begun work on clearing the tree from the lines, our hope is to have all customers back on within an 1-1.5 hour if all goes as planned****

We are aware of the outage in Pipestem, Nelson, and Meadowbrook area. A large tree fell on the line. No ETA as of yet for restoration, but will update as soon as we have one.

Good morning Skiatook,

We are working to finish a line conversion project in the area pictured below. This is on South Javine St in the area around West 3rd and 4th. We are working today to get the new conductors in but will need small outages to convert the transformers to the new line starting in the morning, 5/7, after 8am. We will knock on doors in the morning before we shut off the transformers for the move.

The outages shouldn’t take very long, less than an hour or so on each transformer.

Good afternoon Skiatook,

We are scheduling an outage for the apartment complex north and east of Rosie’s Posies. We have a transformer that will soon fail and we are going to change it out before it goes out as the worst possible time. The outage will be tomorrow, 4-23-2026 from 8AM to 11AM. Below is a picture of the area affected.

The crew is going door to door this afternoon with door knockers.

Good afternoon Skiatook.

We are scheduling a controlled outage to complete a re-conductor project for tomorrow, 4-21-2026 from 7:00pm to 12:00am, for the area pictured below. We are removing some old solid copper with new 1/0 ACSR to improve the reliability and durability of this line to our customers. We have spoken to the business that are currently open and will try to catch more of them tomorrow before noon. We have also placed door knockers out to our affected residential customers. Thank you for your patience as we continue to improve the electric grid to the great people of Skiatook.

It includes the business on the south side of West Rogers from Osage to the Central Park, and those that live on West 3rd and the North side of West 4th, from South Osage to Central Park.

Good afternoon Skiatook.

We want to thank Solid Rock Soap, Charity Hakanson and the Hakanson Family, along with the Turner Family(Tiffany, Sydney, Shyloh, and Jon) for the lunch and gift bags yesterday for Lineman Appreciation. The food and cookies were awesome, but most of all the recognition for the hard work that these men but in everyday means a lot.

Thank you all very much from the Skiatook Electric Department.
