North Fork Woodworks

North Fork Woodworks Custom North Fork Home Builders At North Fork Woodworks, we put a great deal of thought into the seemingly little things. Why?

Because those are the things that you’ll notice when your home is no longer a wish list, a collection of architect’s plans, or a construction site but instead, the place where you actually live. Our approach is simple: we look to tomorrow for every decision we make today. As experienced craftsmen, we know how your home will wear in. At North Fork Woodworks, we don’t just build your home for the da

y it’s delivered, but instead, for all of those years you’ll be enjoying it. To ensure that you’re satisfied for the life of your home, we pay special attention to all of those little things — like using a slightly thicker door than is standard, or adding an extra oil-coat because that way the finish will hold up that much longer. Even taking the extra time to use pocket screws that you won’t even see, or adding that extra little mitred detail on the window sash. In some ways we are less like a company, and more like a family of craftsmen working together to produce outstanding work. We remain passionate about our craft, recognize that there is always a chance to learn something new every day, and always welcome both new opportunities and new challenges. When you work with North Fork Woodworks, you work with a special group of skilled craftsmen who put quality ahead of size, people ahead of profit, and what’s right over what’s just enough. Brick may be the finish, but what goes behind it matters just as much.

At our Mill Lane project, SA HydroGap will be applied over the plywood sheathing, followed by a ½-inch drainage space before the brick veneer is installed—helping moisture drain rather than become trapped behind the exterior.

A closer look at the details designed to protect this home for years to come.

Richmond Creek Project
Ventgrid is the ideal product for creating a properly drained and ventilated gap, allowing air to flow and water to escape. Ventgrid is made almost completely from “post-consumer” recycled plastic so it is highly resistant to deterioration and degradation. Ventgrid will not decay, rot, absorb moisture or support mold growth.
