Essex Industries

Essex Industries Essex Industries is a leading supplier to the Aerospace and Defense market.

Founded in 1947 by Harold and Sidney Guller in their father’s basement, Essex Industries has grown to seven facilities, with over 300,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 400+ employees. The Gullers’ first product, an F-214 Radio Noise Filter, was designed to meet a specific requirement for that aircraft. Over the past seven decades, the product range has grown to include a variety of Platfo

rm Controls and Aircraft Components. As a result, Essex Industries has been a part of virtually every major military and commercial aerospace program since 1947. As Essex expanded their offering to the Aerospace and Defense markets, they developed other technologies and acquired companies to expand their product offering. Today, Essex is recognized for its core product segments of Platform Controls, Aircraft Components, Emergency Breathing Equipment, and LOX Equipment. Through the years, Essex Industries has built on the company’s rich history, establishing a reputation for providing engineered solutions to customers’ problems. With exacting quality standards and manufacturing expertise, Essex Industries is a company you can rely on for your toughest application requirements.

Evan Waldman and two of his kids visited the Sikorsky Black Hawk helicopter manufacturer after a unique experience with the aircraft.

It’s rare to ever fly aboard a Sikorsky Black Hawk. Rarer still to be rescued by one. But it’s almost impossible to imagine your own children being rescued by Black Hawks while you lead a company that makes parts for the very aircraft that brought them to safety.

A month ago, a campsite in southeastern Missouri had rapidly rising floodwaters. The National Guard was called in, using four Black Hawks to bring nearly 150 children and 50 staff members to safety. Two of those campers are the sons of Essex CEO Evan Waldman.

For Evan, knowing the importance of these aircraft, which save lives daily, is another reminder that what is manufactured at Essex is critical to the aerospace industry.

Essex Industries is a proud longtime Sikorsky supplier, supporting the Black Hawk program.

Heather and Simone are twin sisters working at the Essex Sunnen facility. Heather started in the electrical department in August of 2025, and Simone started in the mechanical department just shortly after in September. Both of them will celebrate their 1 year anniversary with Essex this year!

The pair enjoys assisting each other on their respective departments' projects.

At Essex, we are all family, and we feel honored to work alongside one another like Heather and Simone.
