Looking to Hire: Superintendent
Akins General Contractors is currently accepting resumes for a Jobsite Superintendent. The person filling this position will be responsible to:
• Supervise, direct, and coordinate all activities and resources on the construction site through subcontractors, suppliers, and Akins GC’s work forces in accordance with the required methods, procedures, budget and specifications.
• Supervise all subcontractor foremen on the project in all areas pertaining to contract requirements and schedule the appropriate trades in a logical and efficient manner to facilitate the completion of the project.
• Monitor subcontractors’ compliance with the general framework of the established Project Schedule given to the subcontractor by the project manager to determine if the subcontractor’s workforces are completing work within the required timeline.
• Assure that materials are ordered as needed, and that delivery to the job is made in time to maintain productive work activity without interruption.
• Ensure that good safety habits are practiced among all employees of and enforce the Safety Plan.
• Document and record the progress of the project, issues at hand, work performed, and manpower through detailed daily reports.
• Oversee and facilitate any testing required by the Contract
• Inspect materials being used to ensure they have been approved through the submittal process and are in compliance with the Contract.
• Perform regular inspections of work-in-place to ensure contract compliance and compile a punch list for the project.
• Maintain current As-Built drawings and specifications on site.
5 years experience as a lead jobsite supervisor in commercial construction and OSHA 30 hour Outreach Training certification is preferred. Competitive pay and benefits. Salary based on experience.
