How do you turn a major setback into a recovery success story? A recent article from Powers Health highlights 89-year-old patient LaVerne Broviak, who lost both legs to peripheral artery disease. Congratulations to the team at Texas NeuroRehab Center, the first facility in Austin, TX to bring ZeroG 3D into their gym! Their clinicians have completed training and are now treating with 3-dimensional dynamic body-weight support, giving patients recovering from traumatic brain injury, stroke, and other neurological conditions the ability to practice the way they actually move: overground and in any direction.

As this individual walks along the track in ZeroG, his therapist applies TRiP perturbations which are controlled, unexpected challenges that mimic real-world trips and slips. Support that adapts to the patient. For a patient early in recovery, a smaller world can mean a safer one. In this session, ZeroG 3D is set to a 24" × 24" boundary, keeping a lower-level patient securely within a defined space to focus on balance and weight-shifting tasks.

We’re excited to be back in Louisville at the UofL Health Frazier Rehabilitation Institute! We recently installed Kentucky’s very first ZeroG 3D System at the Center for Advanced NeuroRehab. ZeroG 3D will play a vital role in supporting patients as they recover from a wide range of neurological injuries and disorders.
