🚧 Construction Begins in March: Litchfield Rd & Brinton Ave Roundabout
The City of Litchfield Park will begin construction of a new traffic roundabout at Litchfield Road and Brinton Avenue in early March. The project will be completed by Nesbitt Contracting.
🚗 Traffic will remain open during construction, with traffic shifts occurring as work progresses.
Tentative Construction Schedule
• March – May: Construction of the west side of the roundabout. Initial work will occur off the roadway, with traffic shifting to the east side of Litchfield Road (one lane in each direction) in late March.
• May – July: Construction of the east side of the roundabout, with traffic shifted to the west side (one lane in each direction).
• July – August: Final paving, striping, and landscaping, with traffic shifts as needed.
⏰ Most work will occur during weekday daytime hours, excluding major holidays. Beginning in mid-May, work may start as early as 5:00 a.m.
🏡 Resident and emergency access will be maintained throughout construction.
