Here is a pic or two of the fence with out bracing We were also able to add a permemant diagonal brace on both sides of the double Gate to reinforce the hinge post from having potential issue . Then get the roof started 👍🏼then demo for the transom window and new bedroom door!

With much clean up not shown! But for use of the amazing camps while finishing up progress !

Today we removed bracing on the fence we installed late last week and got the gate pin in the ground . Then ran back up to Stillwater to install The rest of the windows on the outsideof the additiong as well as the new exterior door with a new door handle . Tommrow we will make progress both inside and out !

We had a comment after this driveway was installed …. So the comment was “ we have never been able to walk in a stone driveway barefoot” …
when installed right and compacted the stone properly it should be flat and fitted together to make a smoother hard compacted service . We installed drainage , culvert, driveway fabric, base 4” stone and 3/4 “ minus crush run , we called the Evanw mills fire department to get water dumped on before final rolling to create maximum compaction resulting in the comment made by the home owner who so very satisfied with the outcome

Many driveways fail over time and a lot Of them very fast .. you shouldn’t have to keep adding stone year after year after year , chances are you don’t have proper driveway fabric under the stone , the fabric is designed to prevent the stone from pressing down into the earth bellow from compression from vehicles and natural frost heaves thanks to our climate in upstate New York. Also having larger stone for base prevents less of the stone from compressing into the soil/fabric as there is more surface area creating a better base.
We are not complete as we still have to finish laying out more fabric and laying more base stone topped with 3/4” minus crush run . With more grading and compaction with larger roller and applied water for true maximum compaction …. Resulting in a driveway built to laste, creating low maintenance and very solid flat driveway .
