๐ฅต Georgia heat is no joke... and neither is the strain it puts on your HVAC system!
A few simple maintenance steps can help keep your system running efficiently during these extreme temperatures and may even help you avoid unexpected repairs.
โ
Change your air filter every 30 days (especially if you have pets!)
โ
Keep weeds, grass clippings, and yard debris at least 2โ3 feet away from your outdoor unit.
โ
If your system freezes up, turn it off for a few hours to allow it to fully defrost before restarting it.
โ
Keep all supply and return vents open and unobstructed.
โ
Use ceiling fans to help circulate cool air and reduce the workload on your system.
โ
If your system is making unusual noises or isn't keeping up with the heat, don't ignore the warning signs.
A little preventative maintenance goes a long way during a Georgia summer!
