TIP TUESDAY: Did you know you should test your sump pump at least twice a year (spring & fall) to ensure it's working properly? To test your sump pump, fill the pit with water until the float rises and activates the motor, ensuring it pumps water out and turns off automatically. Having issue? TIP TUESDAY: Do you know where the main water shut-off is located in your house? This is EXTREMELY important if you spring a leak or a pipe bursts and the plumber can't get there right away. The shut-off valve is usually located on an exterior wall near the front of house, in a basement, crawl space or utility room, usually where the pipe enters the home.
