Blairco started in 1987 in our backyard tool shed as a one man company owned and operated by Joe Blair. Joe graduated from West Coast training in 1982, and after six years as a service technician for Tom Moyer Theaters, he ventured out on his own. After two years in the tool shed, we hired our first service employee and we took off from there. Our first office was opened in 1991 in downtown Vancouver. Tech Tips: There are a few things you can check to see if you can get your system up and running before we send one of our qualified service technicians to your home or business. Check your electrical breaker box to see if the circuit for the heat pump and/or furnace has tripped off. If so-reset it to see if your heat starts. If the breaker has not tripped, then reset it. Push the switch off, wait about 10-15 seconds, and then switch it back on. Wait about 10-15 minutes to see if your heat starts. Check your thermostat. During the winter months your thermostat should be set to AUTO or HEAT. Check your air filter. You should be able to hold your filter up to a light source and see light through it.
